About the player
Héctor Jonás Acevedo came through at San Lorenzo, where he debuted in 2017, before a loan spell took him to Ramón Santamarina.
The turning point of his career came on loan at Patronato in 2022, while registered with Huracán. He was part of the side that beat Talleres de Córdoba 1–0 in the Copa Argentina final on 30 October 2022. After returning to Huracán for the 2023 season, he moved on loan to Instituto de Córdoba in August of that year, scoring twice and setting up another in 12 Copa de la Liga Profesional appearances.
His 2024 season at Instituto showed how central he had become to the side: 31 appearances across the Liga Profesional and Copa de la Liga Profesional, with a goal and three assists. He has continued in the same role through 2025, with 24 appearances and a goal so far, split between the league and the Copa Argentina.
Acevedo has not added to his underage caps at senior international level, with his only representative football to date coming through that 2015 U-17 World Cup run.
