Lukas Deinhofer

Lukas Deinhofer has spent almost his entire career at one club, and Amstetten's history now runs through him. He first arrived at SKU Amstetten in January 2013 after coming through FC Waidhofen/Ybbs and SCU Ardagger, and he stayed for a decade, becoming captain and passing 280 official appearances along the way — a mark that makes him a club legend in his own right.

His best spell came early: he was a key figure when Amstetten made its historic promotion to the Austrian 2. Liga, and he played a leading role in cup runs too, including a run to the quarter-finals in the 2013–14 season. Not every campaign brought reward — in 2017–18 the team finished third in the Regionalliga Ost and missed out on the promotion play-offs, which went instead to SKN St. Pölten.

In July 2023 he left for SCU Euratsfeld, a short spell that lasted only until January 2024, when he returned to Amstetten on a free transfer. The comeback has suited both sides: he extended his contract again in early 2025, tying him to the club through to 2027 and into what will be his thirteenth season there. Across his time in Amstetten's colours he has scored seven goals in official competitions. He has never been capped by Austria at any level, senior or youth.
