Mark Delgado

Mark Delgado signed with Chivas USA as a Homegrown Player in April 2012, a route that took him from Pomona United and the IMG Soccer Academy through the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program before he ever made a senior appearance. He made 37 league appearances for the club and scored twice before Chivas USA folded, sending him into the 2014 MLS Dispersal Draft, where Toronto FC picked him up.

Toronto is where Delgado built his career. Across 181 league appearances and 15 goals between 2015 and 2022, he became a regular fixture in the side that won the 2017 MLS Cup and the Supporters' Shield the same year, adding Canadian Championship titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018. A brief loan spell with Toronto FC II in 2017 was the only interruption to that run.

In January 2022, Toronto traded him to LA Galaxy. He spent three seasons there, making 91 league appearances and scoring five goals, and won a second MLS Cup with the club in 2024. Internationally, Delgado came through the U.S. youth ranks at U-17, U-18 and U-20 level, playing at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and went on to earn six caps for the senior national team in 2018, his last coming in a friendly defeat to Italy. He has also picked up multiple MLS Team of the Week honours over the course of his career.
