Shaquell Kwame Moore

Shaq Moore's rise through Spanish football went from anonymous to historic before he ever wore an FC Dallas shirt. He signed his first professional contract with Huracán Valencia CF in 2015, and after that club's expulsion moved through Real Oviedo Vetusta and Atlético Levante UD before earning a first-team promotion to Levante UD in 2017 — becoming the fourth American to play in La Liga. A loan to CF Reus Deportiu was cut short in December 2018 after the club stopped paying wages, with Moore making between eight and nine appearances before returning to Levante. He then joined CD Tenerife in 2019 on a three-year deal that included a Levante buy-back option and sell-on percentage.

His move to Nashville SC in July 2022, for a reported fee of $2 million, brought him back across the Atlantic, and it was with the United States national team that he produced his defining moment: coming off the bench against Canada at the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup, he scored just 20 seconds later, the fastest goal in USMNT history. The US went on to win that tournament, and Moore was named to its Best XI. He earned a place in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and by January 2025 had won 21 caps for the national side.

In December 2024, Moore was traded from Nashville SC to FC Dallas in exchange for up to $150,000 in General Allocation Money, with $50,000 guaranteed and the rest tied to incentives.
