About the player
Trinity Rain Moyer-Rodman came through SoCal Blues, where she won four national championships and went five years without a defeat before choosing club soccer over a full high school career, moving from Corona del Mar to JSerra Catholic after a single year. She committed to Washington State, but the pandemic wiped out her freshman season before she ever played a match, and rather than wait, she declared for the NWSL Draft and was taken second overall by Washington Spirit.
The rise was fast from there. She was named NWSL Rookie of the Year in her debut season and has since been picked for the league's Best XI three times, in 2021, 2023 and 2024, along with an MVP nomination in 2024. Washington Spirit rewarded her with a contract extension in 2022 reportedly worth $1.1 million, then in January 2026 re-signed her on a three-year deal worth more than $2 million a season, making her the highest-paid player in NWSL history at the time.
Internationally, she scored twice in the final as the United States won the 2020 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship against Mexico, and made her senior debut in February 2022.
