About the player
Tristan Haims came through Orlando City's own academy, working his way up through the club's U16 ECNL and U18/U19 sides before choosing the college route. At 198 cm, he played for the University of South Carolina, where he featured in seven matches across two seasons. A move to Coastal Carolina University followed, though his first year there was wiped out by a redshirt season after injury; he returned for his senior year and made ten appearances between the posts.
That college spell brought him back into Orlando City's orbit. In January 2025 he signed with Orlando City B in MLS Next Pro, and the raw academy product who had left for university returned home as a professional. He made 17 appearances in MLS Next Pro.
The clearest sign that Orlando City's coaching staff have been watching came in March 2026, when Haims signed a short-term agreement with the first team.
