1899 Hoffenheim Women

Four promotions in six years took the Kraichgauerinnen from the fifth tier of German women's football to the Frauen-Bundesliga: the Verbandsliga Baden in 2007–08, the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg the year after, the Regionalliga Süd in 2009–10, and the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga in 2012–13, which opened the door to the top flight for 2013–14.

There was no women's team at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim before 2007. The section grew instead out of SG Hoffenheim/St. Leon, a joint side run by 1. FC Mühlhausen and VfB St. Leon since 2000, folded into the main club once such arrangements were barred from the upper leagues.

Hoffenheim have stayed in the Frauen-Bundesliga since that first promotion without ever winning it, finishing third in 2019–20 and again in 2020–21. The DFB-Pokal Frauen has produced two semi-final runs, in 2018–19 and 2024–25, but no final.

Jule Brand came through at the club before her move to VfL Wolfsburg and on to Olympique Lyon, and was named Europe's best under-21 player in 2022. Lena Lattwein followed a similar path to Wolfsburg after establishing herself as a Germany international in Sinsheim.
