Beek's handball scene once split its loyalties between two clubs a few streets apart, and by the mid-1990s neither Neerbeek's HV Blauw-Wit nor HV Caesar could carry its own budget in a municipality too small to support both. Local officials pushed the two towards each other, and on 1 July 1998 they merged into BFC — Beekse Fusie Club.
Caesar added an Eredivisie title of its own in 1996.
Larissa Nüsser came through the club and went on to win the world title with the Netherlands in 2019, coached in her earlier years by her father, Harold.
