Ringsted

Ringsted sits in the middle of Zealand, an hour or so from Copenhagen. Team Midtsjælland Ringsted formed on 15 December 1997, when the first teams of Vetterslev-Høm G.F and Ringsted IF merged.

For most of that history the club sat below the level where trophies get discussed. That changed in the 2023-24 season, when TMS Ringsted reached the championship play-offs of the Danish Handball League for the first time. Two seasons later it went further, reaching the final of the Danish Men's Handball Cup in 2026 and losing 34-24 to Aalborg Håndbold — the first major final in the club's history, even if the scoreline left no doubt about the gap still to close.

Morten Olsen's arrival in 2025 told its own story about where the club sees itself heading. The former Danish national team player joined as Sporting Director after retiring — the TMS Talent programme and the TMS Ringsted Ungdom youth section exist for exactly that.
