Teungueth FC

Teungueth FC gave the city a team of its own.

The club started life as Diokoul FC in the third tier before president Babacar Ndiaye took charge in 2011 and renamed it Teungueth. The climb that followed went fast: a National 1 title in 2012, relegation, then a Ligue 2 championship in 2016 that put the club back among the elite. A Coupe du Sénégal followed in 2019, and the breakthrough came in 2020–21, when Teungueth were crowned champions of Ligue 1 for the first time, in a season the pandemic cut short and decided by standings rather than a finish line. They have added two more league titles since, in 2023–24 and 2025–26, along with a Coupe de la Ligue won against Stade de Mbour and a Trophée des Champions taken from Génération Foot.

Matches are played at the Stade Ngalandou Diouf, which holds 7,500, and the players take the field in yellow and blue.
