The Pallati i Sporteve "Shani Nushi" holds 2,500 and sits on Rruga Tirana in Gjakova. Vëllaznimi has played there through every era of the club's handball section, from the Yugoslav league years to the current Kosovar top flight.
That section traces back to 1955, and under Ismail Berisha, a founding player who later coached the team, it took its first championship in 1959. The one trophy that carries no such caveat is the Kosovar Cup, lifted in 1997.
Vëllaznimi has since tested itself in Europe, reaching the EHF European Cup in 2021–22 before losing to Handball Käerjeng, and it is drawn against Tallinna Mistra in the 2026–27 edition of the same competition. Domestically the picture has been less settled: financial trouble sent the club down in 2024, and it needed only a year to win promotion back in 2025.
The parent club takes its name, Vëllaznimi, from the Albanian word for brotherhood, and its supporters go by Kuqezinjtë e Jakovës, the Red-Blacks of Gjakova.
