Wolverhampton Women

The SEAH Stadium, better known to most as New Bucks Head, is the home of the women's side, though the club still plays under the same old gold shirts and black shorts that have carried the Wolves name for decades.

The team did not start out as Wolverhampton Wanderers at all. Founded in 1975 as Heathfield Rovers, it went through a spell as Wolverhampton & Wednesbury Tube LFC and then Wolverhampton Ladies before the current name was adopted for the 1993–94 season. Full affiliation followed in 2008.

That first season under the new name brought the FA Women's Premier League National Division title in 1993–94. Promotions have come in waves since rather than every year: the Midland Combination League and League Cup double in 2011–12, the FA Premier League Division One Midlands crown in 2016–17, and the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division in 2021–22. The most recent arrived in May 2026, when Wolves Women beat Plymouth Argyle in the play-off final to secure a place in the Women's Super League 2.
