Amokabelhallen sits in Alstermo in Småland. The hall opened in 2003 as part of the Mötesplats Alstermo project, replacing a structure built in 1971.
The club inside, Amo Handboll, separated from its parent multi-sport association in 2017. The arena’s capacity was 700 for years, a figure that appears in older records. Following renovations completed in 2023, the number rose to 750.
A major renovation plan was approved in December 2025, funded over twenty years starting in 2027. The aim is simple: compliance with Swedish Handball Federation requirements for elite play.
On match days, the atmosphere is tight. The club plays its home matches here, and the venue is noted for selling out for crucial league matches. It is not a place for international concerts or national finals, but for the local battle, it is enough.
The surface is standard handball court, compliant with international regulations. The website for the club is available, but the hall itself does not speak for itself. It stands there, built in 2003, waiting for the next season.
