Bahcohallen

It sits on Torggatan. The name comes from Bahco, but the hall itself dates to 1983.

What makes the place different is what happened in 2016. A new wing went up beside the original concrete box, giving the rink its second surface. The old ammonia cooling plant was pulled out and replaced with a CO2 system. The cost of that swap does not appear in any public ledger, but the result is a facility that serves three tiers of hockey.

Enköpings SK HK plays here, competing in HockeyEttan, while the junior sides from U16 up through U20 share the same boards. HC Liljan also uses the ice. The capacity is tight, 1,800 seats stacked close around the rink, which keeps the sound down and the players in view. The surface is natural ice, kept flat by the modern refrigeration loop.

Outside hockey the hall finds other uses. In May 2025 it hosted a national junior roller derby camp, and throughout the year it takes the Stora COOP Cup, a junior tournament that draws teams from all over the county. The annual Homebrewed Beer Championship also drops in, proving that the space is not locked into one sport.

The arena is owned by Enköping Municipality, which tends to the maintenance schedule and sees the building as a public asset rather than a commercial venture. No former names are attached to it; Bahcohallen has carried the same title since the doors opened. The 2007 Nordic Trophy matches remain the highest-profile events recorded here, but those games are part of the background now, not the headline.

The ground is ordinary until you step inside. Two sheets of ice, a smaller crowd, and a cooling system that runs on carbon dioxide. It does not pretend to be anything more than a local hub, and that is why it works.
