Bolitho Park

Bolitho Park sits at the end of a road in Manadon, where the local club built a ground from scratch in the summer of 2002. It opened in August 2003, named for Janie Bolitho, a local novelist who had become the club’s first sponsor before falling ill. The pavilion is modest, with only 250 seats and a capacity of 3,500, but it holds a specific place in the region’s footballing map as a temporary home for Truro City between 2021 and 2024. The visitors were waiting for the Stadium for Cornwall to be completed, and they played on a natural grass surface that has seen little change since the original construction.

The most significant work done on the site was in 2021, when renovations were carried out to meet Grade C ground grading requirements. This included the addition of the Charlie Baggott Stand, a covered seating area for 250 people, and covered standing areas on three sides. These changes allowed the venue to host higher-level non-league fixtures, including a 3–3 draw against Truro City in December 2022, which attracted the official attendance record of 1,385 spectators. Beyond the league matches, the ground has hosted Plymouth Argyle L.F.C. for their FA Cup tie against Poole Town Ladies in 2020, as well as other themed events.
