Camp & Satherley Stadium

Portland, United Kingdom

Formerly: Grove Corner, New Grove Corner

Camp & Satherley Stadium sits on the edge of the Isle of Portland. The ground is located near the tides and the time of year. When Portland United F.C. is in action the small terraces fill with the sound of voices carrying across the stone.

The club was founded in 1920 and spent its early decades at Grove Corner . In 1994 the original land was required for mineral extraction by the Crown Estate, forcing the club to move a few hundred yards to the current location. The site was initially known as New Grove Corner before the club purchased the ground outright in 2020, securing their future. The stadium was subsequently renamed Camp & Satherley Stadium in honour of Robin Satherley, who served as chairman for many years, and David Camp, the club's president.

Two seated stands and a small standing covered area face each other across the pitch, with grass banking providing the rest of the accommodation. The record attendance of 4,127 was set on 27 January 1949 in a Western League Division One match against Weymouth, a result that Portland United won 4-1. Recent renovations have focused on the facilities, with a £300,000 investment extending bar areas and upgrading turnstiles.
