Cantilever Park

The ground sits on the northern bank of the Manchester Ship Canal, positioned directly beneath the Cantilever Bridge that lends it its name.

Warrington Town have called this place home since 1956, following a long history of moving between various local pitches. The club, originally founded as Stockton Heath Albion and renamed in 1961, has spent much of its existence trying to scale the non-league pyramid. They reached the summit of the Northern Premier League Premier Division play-offs in 2023, winning 1–0 against Bamber Bridge in front of 2,550 spectators to secure promotion to the National League North.

The stadium has been altered significantly in recent years to accommodate the higher tiers of English football. Following their promotion, the capacity was expanded to 3,094 with new seating. Further additions included all-seater stands at the Cantilever Bridge end, bringing in sponsorship from local supermarkets. The club also secured naming rights from Cal.Delivery, officially renaming the site The Cal.Delivery Stadium, though locals still refer to it by its original title.

For a small club, the ground holds a specific memory that defines more than just its history. On November 7, 2014, Warrington Town hosted Exeter City in the FA Cup First Round Proper. The match, which attracted a crowd of 2,550, saw Craig Robinson score a seventh-minute header for a 1–0 win. The game was televised live on BBC Two after a six-year absence from the network. It was, by all accounts, the greatest night in the club’s 64-year history.
