Centre Omnisports Pierre-de-Coubertin
Massy, France
Formerly: Centre Omnisports
The Centre Omnisports Pierre-de-Coubertin is located in the Massy-Opéra district. The main hall, with its wooden parquet floor, is small enough to feel the game in close quarters.
What defines the place, however, is not the hall itself but what it has hosted beyond its local league matches. It served as a Games Preparation Centre for Artistic Swimming during the Paris 2024 Olympics. The aquatic facilities were completely overhauled in 2003 with the installation of a competition pool.
Regardless of the exact number, it is too small for the local handball team, Massy Essonne Handball, to host their biggest matches. The club, founded in 1962, has long outgrown the venue, moving high-profile games to larger halls like the Grand Dôme de Villebon.
