Concordium Arena

The concrete stand at Concordium Arena does not look like much. Built in 1971, the structure has barely changed since that November. The **2016 renovation** was more about business than style; the contractor, Skou Gruppen A/S, swapped out doors and rebuilt the concrete deck without trying to make the place look new.

The surface is artificial ice, and the yellow seats fill the tiered stands. The capacity sits at 2,460, a figure that has remained steady since the ground opened. The arena is the home of Rungsted Seier Capital, who play in the Metal Ligaen. The club has a history of changing its name, and the building has followed suit. It started as Hørsholm Skøjtehal and eventually became Concordium Arena in September 2023. The signs outside are new, but the concrete ramp and the grey siding remain the same.

There is a large glass building next door, part of a different complex, which suggests the area has grown into a commercial hub. Inside, the lighting is functional rather than theatrical. The barriers around the rink are low, and people mill about on the concourse. The club has survived a bankruptcy from 2010, but the steelwork of the roof and the rows of seats have not been touched by that drama.
