The design changed when the outdoor rink was demolished and replaced by an indoor facility between 1993 and 1995 . It is a place where the surface is artificial ice. When the building was officially inaugurated in September 1995, it carried the name Resega. The sponsorship agreement with Cornèr Bank AG arrived later, in May 2018, changing the identity of the venue to the Cornèr Arena.
The capacity is debated; some sources claim 8,000, others 6,733. This is an indoor sports venue located in Porza, in the Canton of Ticino.
