Dvorana Stožice

Ljubljana, Slovenia

*Dvorana Stožice* stands at Vojkova cesta 100 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and opened on August 10, 2010. The surface is a wooden parquet floor, 1,150 m². The standard capacity for basketball and handball is 12,480, but the floor fills with standing room for concerts, pushing the number to 14,480.

The first event to take place here was a basketball match between the Slovenian and Spanish national teams. The first cultural performance followed a month later, with José Carreras on October 7, 2010. It is named after the Stožice area, formerly a village north of the city, now part of the Bežigrad district, and has never carried another name. The primary tenants are KK Union Olimpija for basketball, RK Krim for handball, and ACH Volley Ljubljana for volleyball, and the venue also hosts matches for the Slovenian national teams.

Among the larger international fixtures, the quarter-finals of EuroBasket 2013 were played here. The arena has also filled for concerts: Iron Maiden in 2023, Depeche Mode and Green Day in 2017, and performances by Bryan Adams, Andrea Bocelli, Sting, and Rod Stewart. Goran Dragić's "Night of the Dragon" farewell game was played here in August 2024; it was sold out with approximately 12,000 to 12,480 attendees. The venue has no former names and no change of title.
