Stadium
Emmental Versicherung Arena
Langnau im Emmental, Switzerland
Formerly: NEB Oberfeld, KEB Langnau, Ilfishalle
The building on Güterstrasse sits low against the treeline.
The ground inside is not grass. It is synthetic ice on a concrete base, which means the surface does not respond to the weather the way a pitch does.
The SCL Tigers play here. The capacity is 6,050, a number that was trimmed during the renovation in 2012.
The local football team, FC Langnau, does not use this ground. They play at the Sportplatz Moos, where the surface is natural grass. The arena was named after the Ilfis river when it opened in 1975, and it was renamed in 2023 after the insurance company Emmental Versicherung took the long-term sponsorship.
