Estrad Arena
Alingsås, Sweden
Inside, the space belongs to a different game entirely. The floor is parquet, and the capacity of 2,800 is split with 2,000 seats and the rest standing room for handball.
Since it opened in 2013, the venue has served as the home for Alingsås HK. They pick up their points here in the Handbollsligan, the top tier in Sweden. You do not come here for football; the surface is artificial in the outdoor sense, but the arena itself is for indoor sport.
The arena is best known for the ATG Svenska Cupen Final 4, the women's handball tournament. It became the permanent host for this event starting in the 2023/2024 season. IK Sävehof won the championship in February 2024, defeating Höörs HK H 65. The following year, Höör HK H 65 won against Skuru IK 30–18 in March 2025. The record attendance for a sporting event is 1,020, set during a women's futsal match between Sweden and Russia on November 2, 2019. A comedy show in December 2022 was cited as setting a local record, but no number was given.
The building has a parking garage and conference rooms, but the focus remains on the court. The venue is not a temple of sport, but it is a functional hall that has hosted the final of the national cup for the last few seasons.
