The ground on Rruga Enver Zymberi has changed its name once and its shape twice. Between 1953 and 2018 it held 16,200; the rebuild of 2016–2018 cut that to 13,980. The €9.5m spent went on bringing the stands, facilities and sightlines up to UEFA and FIFA requirements so that Kosovo could stage international matches at home.

Concerts drew more — around 25,000 for 50 Cent in December 2007, a similar figure for the Albanian rapper Unikkatil in July 2012 — but those crowds stood on a pitch no league match uses.

It reopened on 10 September 2018 for a UEFA Nations League tie against the Faroe Islands. Three months earlier, on 9 June, the ground had been renamed after Fadil Vokrri , the former Kosovo federation president and Yugoslav international, on the day he died.

The 2024 work, €1.3m across March to July, never touched a single seat. It went entirely below the surface: hybrid turf laid over new drainage, irrigation and undersoil heating. The stadium has hosted every Kosovo Cup final since 1993.
