The hall sits at the end of **Fischzuchtweg**. It is not a grand arena, but a working space for **SSV Brixen Handball**. The name itself is a local curiosity; while the official title is **Fischzuchthalle**, residents often call it **Sporthalle Brixen** or **Palazzetto dello Sport**.
The capacity is small, holding a **sell-out crowd** of roughly 1,200 when the European Cup comes to town.
It is frequently confused with the adjacent ice rink, the **Eishalle Brixen**, which opened in 1985 and holds twice as many people. One is for skating, the other for throwing.
