The complex in the Myrdal district of Bergen does not carry the weight of a century. It arrived in 2021. While the inner hall handles the squeak of handball boots, the exterior belongs to Åsane Fotball. The pitch is artificial, laid with a precision that suggests it is designed for the short, sharp passes of the OBOS-ligaen rather than the long, wet campaigns of the north.

The ground is a gift from Trond Mohn, meaning the money never came from the gate takings of a local side scraping by. The decision to build it was not taken lightly; the committee secured the funding, ensuring the club would not have to play in the driving rain on a muddy patch of earth. The opening ceremony drew 1,659 people. It was not until the derby against SK Brann that the concrete bowl filled to the brim, with 3,507 spectators watching the match.

The surface is heated, a practical necessity. It allows the ball to roll true when the wind goes straight through the open stands. The club plays on a stage that is clean, modern, and expensive. It is a functional space, built for the sport, not for the tourists.
