Hall Omnisports de Montegnée

There are indoor halls in many towns, but the one in Montegnée carries a quiet history of its own. It sits on Rue Pasteur, tucked into the municipality of Saint-Nicolas near Liège, where the air feels different when the doors are shut against the wind. It is not a grand theatre for football; it is a working space for amateurs and professionals alike, built for movement rather than spectacle.

The hall is known primarily as the home of the handball club Renaissance Montegnée. For nearly sixty years, the local sport scene has thrived within its walls.

In May 2014, the hall hosted the Final Four of the Belgian Men's Handball Cup.

It is a multi-purpose space, though the focus remains sharp. The venue has never been renamed, nor does it carry a sponsor’s name on its façade.

The ground does not try to impress.
