It is not a cavernous place; the stands hold 1,000 people.
The venue has a history that is less about architecture and more about community stewardship. It was formerly the Brucker Sporthalle before being renamed in 2017 to honour Hannes Bammer, a local politician and sports official who passed away in January of that year. Since then, the hall has become a model for those who think about energy. It is the recipient of the "nachhaltig gewinnen!" award from the Austrian Federal Ministry in 2020, a recognition for its efforts to convert waste heat into electricity for e-charging stations.
The ground is shared territory. While it serves as the home for the handball club HC Bruck, now part of BT Füchse, the courts are also used by the volleyball club UVC Bruck and various karate outfits. The atmosphere shifts with the sport.
