Haukelandshallen

Haukelandshallen is an indoor sports arena in Bergen, Norway. It opened in 1970, though the Bergen City Encyclopedia notes an inauguration in 1969. The venue features a wooden parquet floor and serves as the home venue for the Ulriken Eagles men's basketball team and the Tertnes HE women's handball team. The current official seating capacity is 5,100, though other sources cite 5,000. Historical capacity figures vary: it was listed as 4,000 during the 2008 European Men's Handball Championship, and a 2023 report noted a capacity of 3,500. The highest verified attendance record is 3,238, set during a 2008 European Men's Handball Championship Group C match between Spain and Germany on January 20, 2008. The arena hosted Group C matches of the 2008 European Men's Handball Championship, including games involving Germany, Belarus, Spain, and Hungary.
