Jantor

The Jantor Arena is not a single structure but two connected halls standing in the Janów district of Katowice. The older section, Jantor I, was opened in 1964, while the second hall, Jantor II, was added to the site in 1982. The complex is owned by the city and managed by the municipal sports and recreation centre, MOSiR Katowice. The name itself is a portmanteau of the district and the word for ice rink, a practical title for a facility that has hosted everything from local cup finals to European championship tournaments. Inside, the playing surface is artificial ice, maintained by a refrigeration system that allows the venue to operate year-round regardless of the Polish winter. The capacity is 1,417 spectators, including 600 seated places. Naprzów Janów, the local ice hockey club, uses the facility as its primary home. The arena has also hosted the Polska Hokej Liga matches for GKS Katowice when their usual venue, Spodek, was unavailable for specific competitions. The most notable event in its calendar is the IIHF U18 Women's World Championship Division I, which was held here in 2025 with a record attendance of 422.

The complex is located at Nałkowskiej 11 in Katowice. The original building was constructed between 1962 and 1964, with the second hall opening on December 2, 1982.
