Kiln Brow

Redhill, United Kingdom

Kiln Brow is a modest patch of natural grass. The club moved here in 1984 after being given notice to leave the Memorial Sports Ground, ending a chapter that lasted more than eighty years.

The most prominent feature is the Alan Thurlbeck Stand, a small structure holding just over a hundred and sixty seats, positioned level with the halfway line. A floodlight sits in front of it, casting light onto the faces of those watching the build-up play. In the south-east corner there is a covered concrete terrace. The ground has floodlights.

Capacity sits around two thousand, though a crowd of twelve hundred is rare. That record came in 1989 against Crystal Palace. On recent days, the numbers are smaller. A match against Deal FC in June brought in roughly one hundred and forty-five spectators for a preliminary round draw.

The facilities are functional. There is a clubhouse with a bar and a function hall, alongside modern changing rooms and a canteen. A museum and a club shop sit near the demountable units that serve as a food outlet.
