Most football grounds in Gloucester sit quietly in their districts, but the one on Sudmeadow Road is defined by what was lost and then rebuilt. The original Meadow Park did not simply close; it was erased. The club had no insurance to cover the damage, leaving the site in ruins for more than a decade. While the team moved between temporary homes, the old stadium remained a silent reminder of the city’s weather.

When the new structure finally opened, it stood higher than its predecessor, raised by three and a half metres to keep the water out. The cost was significant, but the result was a facility that could host games again. The capacity is recorded as 4,000, though the number of people who actually fill the stands often varies depending on the fixture and the opposition.

The name of the ground has shifted with the times. It was New Meadow Park when it reopened in 2020, then changed to TigerTurf Stadium before settling on the current title, KMM Energy Stadium. The attendance record for the rebuilt venue is 2,320, set during a match against Longlevens. The stadium sits apart from the larger venues in the region, serving as a base for Gloucester City A.F.C. and occasionally for other clubs seeking a reliable surface in the west of England.
