The new stand at Lade idrettsanlegg sits low against the sky, its dark timber cladding running the length of the terrace. A single metal tower rises at the far end, and the concrete base of the seating area is scarred with the marks of seasons of play. The stadium was built to replace the old wooden terraces, but the pitch itself is a different story. The artificial surface was laid in 2013, five years before the new building took shape. It is a synthetic patch that has seen generations of players doff their boots.

The venue is known as Koteng Arena, a name it has held since 2019. Before that, it was Ørn Arena, a title it lost when Ivar Koteng purchased the naming rights for NOK 3 million over six years. The official reopening came on May 11, 2019, with a Toppserien match between Rosenborg BK Kvinner and Sandviken. The crowd filled the 595 seated places and the 300 standing spots, bringing the total capacity to 895. Other sources claim the number is higher, but the breakdown is precise and the numbers hold.

The ground is part of the Lade district in Trondheim, accessible via Haakon VIIs gate. It is where the women’s team plays their domestic fixtures, and where Rosenborg BK reserve matches are occasionally staged. The atmosphere is shaped by the location; it is not a cathedral of sport, but a working ground in a residential area. The yellow houses nearby watch the games from their windows. There is a Pride Match hosted here in 2025, a day when the fans brought face paint and glitter to the terraces. That day is remembered, but the rest of the year is quiet.
