Kunsteisbahn Zingel

The hall at Seemattliweg 6 began as an outdoor rink in 1951. The site was prepared that year for the founding of EHC Seewen. For more than three decades the ice lay open to the weather until a roof finally closed the space in 1983. That wooden shell has since been replaced. The current structure dates to 1998, a rebuild that gave the arena its present character. A further renovation in 2006 installed new board glass and updated the playing surface.

Today the floor is artificial ice maintained by an electric refrigeration system. Since 2024 a photovoltaic array on the roof supplements the power supply. The venue holds 1,300 spectators, though some accounts list 800 seated places. The building is owned by KEB Zingel AG, the same entity that lends its name to the facility.

Its primary tenant is EHC Seewen. The club competed under the name EHC Seewen-Herti from 1998 to 2004. In the MyHockey League, the third tier of Swiss ice hockey, they claimed the title in 2025 and again in 2026. The arena also serves as a community hub. It hosts the Chämilochturnier, an amateur tournament that once held the Guinness World Record for the largest hobby hockey event with over 120 teams. Other gatherings include concerts and the annual Frühlingsfest Seewen.

The outdoor pitch became an indoor hall, the wooden shell became a modern structure, and the local club grew from a founding moment in 1951 to two league titles in consecutive years.
