Leylands Park

Leylands Park sits in Burgess Hill, a town in West Sussex. It opened in 1969, a year that marked a merger between two local clubs, Burgess Hill Town F.C. and Worlds End F.C. The ground is managed by the Mid Sussex District Council, which keeps the grounds in order.

The pitch tells the story of how the game has evolved for the local club. For decades, it was natural grass. But in early 2025, the club submitted a planning application to change the surface. By September 2025, the transformation was complete; a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch now covers the field. This shift mirrors the modernisation of the facility.

What makes the ground distinctive is its size and its history of sponsorship. The main stand seats 307, with the rest of the crowd standing on terracing. The club has moved through several names over the years: the Green Elephant Stadium, the More Than Tyres Stadium, and the Homecall Carpets Community Stadium.

The ground has hosted memorable moments, particularly in cup football. In the 1999–2000 season, Burgess Hill Town reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, a run that saw them host Hereford United. More recently, in the 2014–15 season, they pulled off a surprise 3-1 victory over Sutton United in the same competition.
