Lodowisko im. Braci Nikodemowiczów
Bytom, Poland
Formerly: Lodowisko przy ulicy Pułaskiego
The original facility opened on 5 November 1966 as an outdoor rink. A roof was added around 1978, turning the open-air sheet into a covered venue that hosted matches for decades before the old structure was demolished in 2019.
What stands at ul. Kazimierza Pułaskiego 71 now opened on 1 June 2021. The facility carries the name "Lodowisko im. Braci Nikodemowiczów" in honour of Emil and Tadeusz Nikodemowicz, the brothers who played for and coached Polonia Bytom to six Polish championships between 1984 and 1991. The roof itself is the most notable feature of the new structure, a span of glued laminated timber beams covering the rink without the need for internal supports.
The arena drew attention beyond the local league when it hosted the IIHF U20 World Championship Division I Group B tournament in December 2022. It was also selected for the IIHF Women's World Championship Division I Group A in April 2025.
