Luveve Stadium

The ground is owned by the Bulawayo City Council , which manages the turnstiles and the turf as part of a wider civic estate rather than a private athletic club. The playing surface is natural grass, cut short and kept in play despite the city’s limited resources.

Before that, it was the site for the 2014 COSAFA U20 Youth Championship, where Zambia defeated South Africa 6-1 in a match that drew attention away from the local leagues. The stadium also saw renovations in 2017 to meet those standards, bringing in aluminum goalposts and perimeter fencing, though it is now clear that the work was not enough. In March 2026, the ground was dehomologated by CAF and ZIFA for failing to meet the required standards. This left the tenant clubs, Chicken Inn FC and Bulawayo City FC, to share Barbourfields Stadium.

There is a quiet argument over the numbers. The city council claims a capacity of 15,000, but football databases lower that figure to 8,000 for safety reasons. A proposal from the civic organization Zupa in December 2012 to rename the stadium after the late Adam Ndlovu was never officially executed, and the venue remains Luveve Stadium.
