Nursteed Road The club moved here after the war, first on a lease and then, in 1965, buying the freehold. That year marked the official opening of the purchased ground, though new facilities were not completed until 1967. The history of ownership is tied to local industry. In 1991, facing financial difficulties, the club sold the ground to neighbours Linpac and secured a 99-year lease in return. The ground is known by its former name, the Grist Environmental Ground. On the pitch, the surface is natural grass. It is a working ground, built for the Wiltshire Senior League days, with floodlights but no running track. The club has reached the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round twice, in 1972–73 and 2000–01, but the real consistency lies in their domestic cup history. They appeared in every Wiltshire Senior Cup final between 1956/57 and 1962/63, winning six of them. The capacity is listed at 2,500, though historical records suggest a crowd of over 4,000 attended a Wiltshire Senior Cup match in 1950. The current seating is limited to 370. The ground has seen players like Mike Ford and Roger Hunt early in their careers. Today, it hosts Devizes Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division. The club has not won the league since 1972–73, but they continue to play here, on the same ground, under the same lease.
