The Pabellón Municipal Port de Sagunto does not announce itself from the street.

The most recent overhaul was not cosmetic. It followed the club’s promotion back to the Liga ASOBAL, the top tier of Spanish handball. The renovation replaced the old wooden parquet with a blue vinyl surface designed for the sport. This work was completed in time for a fixture against Frigoríficos Morrazo Balonmano Cangas in November 2023, marking the start of a new era for the institution.

The capacity has shifted since the building first opened its doors in 1975. Originally styled as the Pabellón Municipal inter-núcleos, the venue once seated roughly 1,100 people. After the upgrades, the figure rose, with sources citing either 2,000 or 2,500. The difference matters less than the fact that the hall now feels full.

The arena hosts early-stage Copa del Rey matches, though the high-stakes Final Four belongs elsewhere. There is no sponsorship name attached to the building itself; the sponsor, Fertiberia, belongs to the team.
