Parkside
Aveley, United Kingdom
The club, Aveley, moved here after selling their old ground, Mill Field, to developers to pay for the new build. The stadium opened in the spring of 2017, replacing the gravel pit site that Thurrock Council had sold them.
Its location in the Copr Bay regeneration area means it is not a traditional standalone arena. The surface is a 4G pitch, consistent with many modern facilities built on former industrial land.
Parkside operates as a shared facility rather than a single-club home. In addition to Aveley, who are nicknamed The Millers, the stadium has hosted Grays Athletic, who played here until 2023 after leaving their own site. Other tenants include May & Baker, Cannons Wood, and Hashtag United.
The venue also hosted matches for the 2018 CONIFA World Football Cup, bringing teams like Abkhazia and Tamil Eelam to Essex. The attendance record for the club, 3,741, was set at the previous ground in 1971 against Slough Town; the capacity here for the 2017 opening was listed as 3,500, though seated places are fewer. The stadium does not have a dedicated official website, with the club relying on Pitchero for its online presence.
