Raiffeisen Sportpark
Graz, Austria
The Raiffeisen Sportpark opened in 2018 as a functional replacement for a grass pitch that once occupied the site in Graz Ost. The building sits near the Messe and Ostbahnhof. The facility hosts handball, basketball, and volleyball, with the floor system provided by Elan Inventa allowing the surface to be swapped between parquet and synthetic material.
The arena holds 3,000 spectators. The club plays here. The first match took place on September 7, 2018, against Union Juri Leoben. A month later, the venue hosted a European handball match between Austria and Sweden, drawing the full house. The structure was built by a consortium led by Bull Bau-Granit, with timber engineering handled by Rubner Ingenieurholzbau. The client was Sportunion Steiermark, which oversaw the project from the start. The official opening ceremony followed the first game in October 2018. The address is Hüttenbrennergasse 31, and the building has no former names.
