Seelandhalle

The Seelandhalle is an ice sports arena in Lyss, in the Seeland administrative district of the Canton of Bern, Switzerland. The venue was built in 1968. The playing surface is artificial ice. The capacity is 2,500 spectators. The official address is Sägeweg 10, 3250 Lyss.

The hall hosts several ice hockey teams, including DHC Lyss (Swiss Women's League B), HC Seedorf Pinguins, and HC Weiss-Blau Lyss. SC Lyss also uses the facility with its reserve and youth teams. A highlight was the Swiss Women's Ice Hockey Championship final tournament in March 2004, where EV Zug/Seewen defeated HC Lugano 4:2 in front of approximately 1,000 spectators. The highest confirmed attendance figure is 1,600 spectators for a Swiss Ice Hockey Cup match between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and SC Lyss during the 2015/16 season. The Swiss rock band Gotthard performed at the arena on April 30, 2006, as part of their "Lipservice Tour." The building is currently described as dilapidated, and the municipality is planning to replace it with a new facility in the "Grien" sports center area rather than renovating the existing structure.
