Sir Vivian Richards Stadium The structure was conceived for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup . The outfield has its own stories. In 2009 the surface was not ready for the second Test against England and the match ended after ten balls. It has not been the same since.
The venue hosts the West Indies side for Tests, ODIs and T20Is, and the local franchise, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, call it home. The CPL side known as the Antigua Hawksbills played here from 2013 to 2014 before moving on. The stadium also hosted the group stage and Super 8s of the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, and the road leading to it, Factory Road, is part of the Sir Sydney Walling Highway.
