Sporlastic-Arena

The Sporlastic-Arena is not a cathedral of sport, but it is the only purpose-built handball hall in the district of Zizishausen. Located on Mühlstraße 25 , the facility is owned by the city of Nürtingen and has stood since 1984. For decades it was known as the Theodor-Eisenlohr-Halle. That changed in late 2025, when local orthosis manufacturer Sporlastic acquired the naming rights for a three-year term.

The arena opened its doors to the public on January 3, 2026, not with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, but with a match in the women’s 2. Bundesliga between TG Nürtingen and HL Buchholz-Rosengarten. The game was decided on the wooden floor, but the headline was the crowd. Over 1,100 spectators filled the 1,020 seats, with approximately 50 people turned away at the door. It stands as the attendance record for the hall.

TG Nürtingen has been a fixture here since the turn of the century, with Sporlastic sponsoring the women’s team since the 2004/2005 season. NTZ Nürtingen-Zizishausen Handball also calls the hall home, sharing the space with the professional side. The building itself has not been rebuilt; it is a 1980s structure with a capacity that fits the town’s size without exaggeration. The floor is standard for indoor handball.
