Športová hala MŠK Považská Bystrica
Považská Bystrica, Slovakia
The arena holds a specific kind of quiet energy. The hall itself is functional. The floor is artificial, designed for the sharp turns of handball and volleyball. It is owned by the municipality and managed by the local sports club, which has won the national handball title four times. The club’s footballers do not play here; they use the outdoor stadium.
On the surface, it looks like any other community centre. But the schedule tells a different story. In November 2012, a company called PESMENPOL installed new equipment. Beyond the sport, the hall hosts concerts. The Slovak band Horkýže Slíže played here during their tour in 2012 and again in 2018. The Czech singer Lucie Bílá performed a "Bílé Vánoce" concert in December 2025.
The capacity is 1,400. It does not host the Slovak Cup Finals; those games are played in Žilina. This is not a venue for national finals. It is a venue for the people who live here.
