Sports Complex Victoria

The ground is not what it appears. This is not the Universal Sports Complex Victoria.

It was opened on August 31, 2004, though the main hall was not fully commissioned until 2006. The building serves as the home for HC Meshkov Brest and the women’s WKC Brest. The playing surface is wooden parquet, a standard for indoor handball. Local sources cite a capacity of 3,500, while directories list 3,740.

What distinguishes the venue is its role as a host for the SEHA Final Four tournaments in 2017 and 2019. These events brought teams like Vive Tauron Kielce and Telekom Veszprém to the city. Other notable attendances include 3,100 for a match against Veszprém in 2017 and 3,210 for the SEHA Final Four final in 2019. The venue also occasionally hosts cultural events, such as a concert by Alena Lanskaya in 2022, but its primary function remains sport.

The full official name includes an honorific: it is the Brest Regional Center for Olympic Training in Team Sports 'Victoria' named after A.P. Meshkov. Leningradskaya maintains its focus on team sports.
