The most striking feature of State Farm Stadium is its retractable roof, a vast expanse of translucent fabric that can open or close in approximately twelve minutes. The structure sits in Glendale, Arizona.

Inside, the pitch is grown on a movable field tray that rolls out to expose the natural grass to sunlight. The stadium has hosted a wide array of major events, from the annual Fiesta Bowl to the College Football Playoff National Championship. It has also welcomed international football, hosting matches during the Copa América and the CONCACAF Gold Cup, alongside the NCAA Men's Final Four.

The capacity shifts depending on the event. For standard games, it holds 63,400, but for occasions like the Super Bowl, the number rises to 72,200. The official attendance record stands at 78,603, set during a national title game. The venue has changed names since it opened in 2006, starting as Cardinals Stadium before becoming University of Phoenix Stadium, and finally settling as State Farm Stadium in 2018. Renovations in 2014 and 2017 updated the facilities, with further work planned for 2024.
