Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground

The Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground is a place where the game is played at an elevation that changes the air. The ground itself is defined by its recent transformation. For years it was an open field, but a massive rebuild has turned it into a modern arena.

The most striking change is visual. A new perimeter now stands, set back to give the batsmen more room. The seating has grown, creating a tiered bowl around the oval. A digital scoreboard building has been constructed at the far end, replacing the old infrastructure.

Inside the wires, the surface remains natural grass, a pitch known for its variable nature. This ground serves as the headquarters for the Cricket Association of Nepal and the primary home for the Nepal national team. It has hosted significant tournaments, including the 2023 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Regional Final, and holds records for high-scoring games between the Netherlands and Namibia.
