Trønderhallen

Trønderhallen sits in the Røstad district of Levanger. It opened in 2011. The main hall features a wooden sports floor installed over a concrete base with water-based underfloor heating.

It is operated by Levanger Arena KF, a municipal company. The primary sports tenants are Levanger Håndballklubb (LHK), whose men’s and women’s teams play in the Norwegian leagues (1. divisjon and REMA 1000-ligaen/Eliteserien). The facility also hosts the handball groups of Frol IL and SPK Nessegutten, alongside Levanger HSL El-Innebandy (floorball). The capacity varies by event type: for sports such as handball, basketball, and volleyball, the seated capacity is approximately 1,900 to 1,950 spectators. For concerts and galas, the capacity can reach up to 2,000 people, with some reports citing a maximum of 2,500 for specific events. The highest recorded attendance was approximately 2,500 for a concert by the artist TIX in August 2026.

Notable events include concerts by Norwegian rock bands Kaizers Orchestra (February 2012) and Turbonegro (October 2012), both drawing large crowds. The annual local cultural gala Drømmeaften is held there. In sports, the venue hosted the 2025 Norwegian Judo Championships (NM i Judo). The highest recorded attendance was approximately 2,500 for a concert by the artist TIX in August 2026. A previous high attendance of around 2,000 was recorded for a women's handball match between Levanger and Byåsen in March 2011. There is no record of major international finals being held here.
