The Weststadthalle in Bensheim is home to the HSG Bensheim/Auerbach women's handball team, which plays in the Handball-Bundesliga Frauen. The arena is known by the nickname "Weststadthölle" or West Hell.

The building opened in 1989 and was constructed for the City of Bensheim. The renovation in 2008–2009 replaced the technical installations, including the audio and paging systems. The capacity sits at roughly 2,000.

The venue holds more than just handball. It has hosted U16 national team games for the German Handball Federation (DHB) and fills with different crowds for concerts and musicals. Yet the identity of the place remains anchored in the sport.
